This wine was produced from the first vintage of our Meredith vineyard with fruit from our long-established Leopold vineyard too. The long, cool ripening period was ideal for flavour development and a late-picking in May of that year has provided flavours that are very difficult to achieve and may never be repeated. The ripe flavours cover the range from peach, pineapple, mango and even apricot, with fruit intensity that creates the impression of a sweet wine, but with a clean, crisp acid finish. One out of the box.
